Beverlyn was asking me to give her a task and I told her to go research about “webmaster, seo and link building.” So she did and she sent me this article as proof of her research. Her sources will be given at the end of the article.

When you go to the net, it is always about the links. Site owners generate income from the links. Links are what drives viewers to their site. Although the main concern of every site owner is for viewers to visit their sites some find it detrimental and even file cases against linkers.

One of the kind of link in question is the deep linking. Deep linking is putting a hyperlink on a websites that enables a viewer who clicks on it to go directly to a page of their interest. Many suits are filed against deep linking however, the U.S. courts, it has been found repeatedly that if you put something online in a free and open manner, there is absolutely nothing wrong with anyone linking to it.

Although deep linking bypasses the site’s home page, it is still one way of bringing traffic to one’s site and isn’t this the aim of every website? To bring traffic and make viewers not leave their site?

Good thing I have read SEO Experiment - Offsite Optimization.

My friend told me to make a game site and sites that have free downloads. He also suggested that I make a site about cross-stitching (I love doing it, but I don’t have the time now.) Most of my friends admires how neat I make my cross-stitch and because of that, I might be doing a cross-stitch site with downloadable patterns.

So what do you love doing? I guess a site that is about what you love to do would be a best site, rather than creating one that you think would click to other people. How would it click if you don’t know what to put in it? Learn it? You might get bored. It is easy to just share your knowledge and if people appreciates it, then it would be fulfilling for you.
